Week #8

This is an image I have been working on for the "Image and Text" project. I'm trying to have the image relate to the lyrics and rhythm both representationally and abstractly. This is still a work in progress though...enjoy!

Week #7

This was one of my digital/analog compositions.  It represents a literal photograph of myself, as well as more abstract pieces of me.  I tried to accomplish this by using pictures of my house and garden, which I feel are as much a part of me as my literal features are.  Enjoy.

Week #6

This is a composition I created in preparation for our 3rd project.  I played around with selection tools and blending modes in order to create it.  I think there's a nice sense of color and depth in it.  Enjoy!

Week #5

This is a photo I took around campus this week.  I like the point of view because I feel like looking up at the flag gives it even more prestige and respect than if you look at it straight on.  It also reflects the strength and importance of what our flag symbolizes.  Enjoy :)

This is an example of a digital/analog image that I thought was really nice.  The composition is strong, the colors are very good, and I love the text at the bottom.  I thought this was a very nice piece. 

Week #4

This is a picture I took of a sculpture on campus.  I thought the piece itself was very interesting, the way the boy is looking and sitting.  I also like how I positioned the sculpture in the photograph compositionally.
